At the wedding in Cana, Jesus’ first sign was more than turning water into wine—it was a revelation of true joy. When the wine ran out, it symbolized a deeper reality: apart from Christ, human joy eventually fades. But Jesus steps in and provides an abundance of better wine, pointing to the overflowing, lasting joy only he can give.
This miracle shows us that life with Christ isn’t about joy running dry—it’s about joy that grows deeper over time. Jesus replaces empty rituals with living grace, and he saves the best for last. As our Bridegroom, he fills our lives now with real joy and promises an eternal wedding feast still to come.
