Isaiah 52:13-15a; Isaiah 53:5-6

As we begin Lent, we listen to the prophet Isaiah.

In Isaiah 52:13–15a and 53:5–6, we behold the Suffering Servant who was pierced for our transgressions and crushed for our iniquities. The Lord laid on him the sin of us all.

Like the powerful portrayal in The Passion of the Christ movie, Isaiah shows us the cost of our salvation. By his wounds we are healed. Jesus was not only disfigured and lifted up on the cross. He was lifted up to cleanse and to consecrate. Sprinkled with his blood, we are forgiven. Sprinkled by the Servant, we are set apart for service.

Join us this Lent as we listen to Isaiah, grateful for a Savior who gave himself for us.
