In Isaiah 6:1-13, the prophet Isaiah receives a life changing vision. He sees the Lord high and exalted, hears the angels cry “Holy, holy, holy,” and suddenly realizes his own sin and the brokenness of the people around him.
But the story does not end with guilt. God acts. Isaiah’s sin is atoned for, his guilt taken away. Grace comes first. And grace leads to a response.
When God asks, “Whom shall I send?”, Isaiah answers with a grateful heart: “Here am I. Send me.”
The same holy God who forgives us through Jesus also calls us to live and speak for him in a world where hearts can grow hard. Our response is not fear, but thankful service.
In this sermon we reflect on the holiness of God, the danger of hardened hearts, and the life changing call of grace.
Holy God. Hard People. Here am I. Send me.
