Jesus calls the church in Laodicea to leave behind lukewarm, self-sufficient faith and become useful for His kingdom. Like the city’s lukewarm water, their faith had lost its purpose. Their wealth and independence had blinded them to their true spiritual condition. Yet Christ’s rebuke comes with grace. He still loves them, calls them to repent, and patiently knocks at the door. The invitation remains for us today: open the door to Christ, receive His grace, and become people who bring His healing and refreshing presence to others.
