As part of the covenant family, our church is committed to the training of our children in the way of the Lord. —Proverbs 22:6
Sunday Programs for Children
Little Lambs is a program for 3-year-olds who are too old for nursery but not yet ready for Children in Worship. They meet downstairs in the Assembly Room during the morning service and enjoy activities, Bible story time, and structured play time. Little Lambs takes place during the school year.
Children and Worship
Children and Worship is for children from age 3 through 1st grade. Children will head downstairs after the children's message in the morning service or as noted in the order of worship in the bulletin. They will attend a service of their own to worship God, hear one of God’s stories, and engage in special activities. Children's Worship takes place during the school year.
Kingdom Seekers (Sunday School)
Kingdom Seekers is for children from age 3 through 5th grade. There is a time of singing in the sanctuary, then each age group/grade will split into classrooms to learn about God's word. They meet immediately after the morning service beginning the fourth Sunday in September through the end of March.
Weeknight Programs for Children
GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior)
GEMS is for girls in 2nd through 8th grade. They meet twice a month on Wednesdays September–April at 6:30 to 8:30 pm for Bible study, singing, activities, and crafts. GEMS has many fun activities which include their theme night, a special service project, a Christmas party, an Undernighter, and a Badge night. Each year they host either a Father/Daughter or Mother/Daughter night, which is a special night with their parent or special friend. All girls are invited to join us and are welcome to bring a friend! See what the Lord can do in your young girls' lives!
Cadets is for boys in 2nd through 8th grade. They meet every Wednesday night September–April from 6:30 to 8:30 pm for Bible study, games, and projects. Each year they go on a fall and winter campout, participate in a Chuckwagon, Camp-O-Ree campout, Snow Derby, and Cadet-O-Rama (with Derby car races). They also go on special outings during the year, and at the end of the year celebrate with a Family & Awards Night. Our Cadet club is a part of the Grand Valley Council (www.gvcadets.org). Cadets is a very fun and active club that keeps the boys involved in learning how to live a Christian life and in learning life skills that will help them grow strong in the Lord!
