Reflecting on Hosea 11:1-9 and Romans 3:21-24, we see a God whose love defies logic. Though his people repeatedly turn away, God’s compassion overcomes judgment and he refuses to give them up. Like a parent who treasures a worn but beloved toy, God does not love us because we are worthy. Instead, his love creates our worth. In this Lenten message, we are reminded that while all have sinned, we are justified freely by God’s grace through Jesus Christ. His relentless love calls us home and welcomes us with forgiveness, restoration, and joy.
