You're invited to a special Cookies & Conversation event as we welcome Rebecca McDonald, the founder and president of Women At Risk, International. Becky has spent over 40 years speaking up for those at risk, working to bring hope and healing to women and children all around the world.
She'll be sharing powerful stories and insights from her work in more than 50 countries, as well as her efforts to train law enforcement, social workers, and medical professionals in how to care for survivors of human trafficking. Her heart for justice and her deep faith shine through everything she does.
There will also be a display of beautiful, handcrafted jewelry and accessories made by at-risk women in their programs. These items offer a glimpse into the kinds of goods created through their programs and sold in their local boutiques to help support survivors.
What is Women At Risk, International?
Women At Risk, International (WAR) works to protect and empower women and children who are at risk of trafficking, exploitation, and abuse. They do this through things like vocational training, safe housing, education, and partnerships here in the U.S. and around the world. What started small has grown into nearly 200 projects across more than 50 countries, all focused on bringing dignity, purpose, and hope.
