We welcome Heather Bunting, MD, a family physician and addiction medicine specialist at Catherine's Health Center, who has dedicated much of her career to serving under-resourced communities in inner-city Chicago and on the streets of Grand Rapids.
Her latest initiative involves operating a mobile health unit that serves unhoused individuals in Grand Rapids, providing comprehensive care—including primary health services, mental health support, and addiction treatment.
She will share her experiences working with unhoused individuals in Grand Rapids and explain how, inspired by the example of Jesus, she meets patients where they are at with grace-building relationships that foster healing—and how these encounters have shaped her own spiritual journey.
